Ketamine Therapy

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy: A Threshold for Healing

For the past four years, I’ve had the honor of guiding clients through ketamine-assisted therapy using both IV and lozenge methods. When held in a well-prepared, grounded, and sacred container, this work opens powerful thresholds—spaces where old patterns loosen, and the soul can reorient toward wholeness.

No two journeys are the same, yet I’ve witnessed three core themes emerge again and again. These are not fixed outcomes, but rather recurring invitations—ways the medicine often partners with us in our healing.

1. A Softening of the Inner Lens
Ketamine often helps shift rigid mental patterns, especially those shaped by trauma, shame, and early wounding. When we carry core beliefs like “I am unlovable” or “I am not safe,” our inner world becomes constricted. Under ketamine, especially when paired with intention and therapeutic presence, many clients experience perspective flexibility—an ability to see themselves and their stories through a wider, softer lens. Insight becomes accessible. Forgiveness becomes possible. The old inner critic grows quiet, and new truths begin to emerge like shoots through winter soil.

2. A Return to the River of the Body
Despite its dissociative properties, ketamine often facilitates a deeper return to the body. As tension melts and the nervous system drops into parasympathetic flow, clients describe a reconnection with the felt sense of peace—sometimes for the first time in years. The body remembers what stillness feels like. We call this space “Self-energy” in the Internal Family Systems model, but it is also something ancient and universal: the calm witness, the inner wellspring, the deep woods of being. In this state, trust arises. Safety returns.

3. The Medicine of Release

Sometimes, emotional purging arises—not always, but when it comes, it is sacred. Tears, shaking, grief, even laughter—all ways the body metabolizes what it no longer needs. These waves are not forced; they’re welcomed. I hold this space with deep reverence and pacing, offering gentle support and anti-nausea protocols if needed. The work here is not to push but to allow. We do not rush the river.

A Therapeutic Sanctuary

Every session is approached as a ritual of re-membering—a return to the parts of you that have been lost, exiled, silenced, or forgotten. The setting is intentionally crafted to support sensory regulation and spiritual attunement: soft lighting, natural textures, calming scents, and curated soundscapes. You are invited to bring objects of meaning—stones, photos, poems, prayers. This is not just therapy. It is sacred tending.

We begin each journey with an intention-setting ritual and close with spacious time for reflection and integration. Your inner process is honored with slowness, care, and full presence.
